Mala Mala sits on over 13,200 ha but only small part is taken for a resort - the rest is left for the wildlife. The reserve has over 20 km of the river frontage and bordering with the Kruger Park - that is an ideal location for animals. Paired with low human footprint - only under 40 rooms - 70% of land is closed for shared traversing. There is not electric poles, roads and no other habitations. All of it creates unique place where chances to see Big 5 are 96% on EACH game drive.

What Makes Mala Mala Game reserve Unique

Mala Mala was one of the first game reserves in South Africa that turned away from hunting safaris to photo safaris. The reserve has its own anti poaching unit, protecting the wildlife.
