Namibia Self-Drive Itinerary

Arrival to Windhoek, airport transfer to a car rental place. After that, night in Arebbusch travel lodge and free evening to rest or walk in a city.

Kalahari desert. Morning departure from the capital and 3,5 hour drive to Kalahari desert, where you will have an opportunity to see wildlife and enjoy landscapes. Take a hike or just enjoy the view while relaxing by the pool. Kalahari Anib Lodge. Breakfast included.

Morning drive to Namib desert. This is the gateway to Sesriem Canyon and Sossusvlei, where some of the highest sand dunes on Earth stand towering over the white desert plains. The afternoon can be spent relaxing at the pool or you can drive to the Sossusvlei where you can climb the highest dune in the world and see Deadvlei pan. Namib Desert Lodge. Breakfast included.

After a couple of nights in the Namib desert, drive to seaside resort of Swakopmund. Beware of the morning fog! After a long drive you can stroll in the city and have a nice dinner of seafood (ask our favorite restaurant). Desert Sands B&B. Breakfast included.

Today you can take a dolphin cruise, spend a day at the beach, go kayaking, It is so much to do here! Desert Sands B&B. Breakfast included.

Leaving the ocean for the desert again. Enjoy your drive thru breathtaking beauty of Damaraland and try to spot some rare animals on your way, such as desert elephants or black rhinos (one of the largest free roaming population). Explore the area, Damaraland has the tallest mountain in Namibia, bushmen art, petrified forests and more amazing views. Damara Mopane lodge. Breakfast included.

After leaving Damaraland you will drive north to reach one of the best parks. Even in the rain season you may find lots of animals here. Best time to track them is sunset and sunrise, so after you arrive to your lodge, which is located right inside the park, rest and be ready for an evening safari. Okaukuejo lodge. You have good chance for a morning safari. After check-out you will set for your return drive to Windhoek for your flight home. Arebbusch travel lodge. Breakfast included.
