Kenya Guided Tour Itinerary

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and begin your journey north toward Samburu Game Reserve. Crossing the equator from the Southern to the Northern Hemisphere, you will arrive at camp in time for lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive. The reserve is known for its open landscapes, red volcanic soils, and the life-giving Ewaso Nyiro River, with dinner and overnight at Ashnil Samburu Camp.

Spend the day exploring Samburu during morning and afternoon game drives as you search for the famous Samburu Five. This region is especially known for its rare northern species, including the gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, beisa oryx, and Somali ostrich. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

After breakfast, depart for the Aberdares Country Club, arriving in time for lunch, then transfer to the Ark Lodge. Built to resemble Noah’s Ark, this iconic lodge overlooks a waterhole where animals gather to drink and lick the mineral-rich soil. Dinner and breakfast at the lodge.

After breakfast, drive to the floor of the Great Rift Valley and arrive at Lake Nakuru Lodge in time for lunch. Later, enjoy an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its rich birdlife, diverse habitats, and wildlife including rhinos, giraffes, buffalo, impalas, warthogs, and occasionally leopards. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, continue south toward Maasai Mara with a lunch box on the way. After entering the reserve, enjoy a short game drive en route to Mara Simba Lodge for late afternoon check-in. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Spend the day in the reserve with game drives arranged to suit your wishes. Maasai Mara is Kenya’s most famous safari destination, home to the Big Five, abundant birdlife, and the culture of the Maasai people. Optional experiences such as a hot air balloon safari or a visit to a Maasai village can be added at extra cost. All meals and overnight at the lodge.

After breakfast, depart for the Great Rift Valley and arrive at Lake Naivasha Sopa in time for lunch. Spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure and enjoy dinner and overnight at the resort.

After breakfast, enjoy a 1-hour boat ride on Lake Naivasha, coming close to large groups of hippos, then continue driving toward Amboseli National Park with your lunch box on the way. Enjoy a short game drive en route to Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge. Amboseli is famous for its spectacular scenery and views of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Spend the day in Amboseli enjoying early morning and late afternoon game drives. The park is especially known for its elephants and its breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro rising across the border in Tanzania. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, drive to the Emali terminus and board the train to the south coast of Mombasa. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your beach hotel, where your coastal stay begins. Diani is known for its sandy beaches, coral reefs, white-sand dunes, and beautiful sunsets.

Spend the next three days enjoying Kenya’s beautiful coastal paradise. You may choose optional activities such as a glass-bottom boat ride, snorkeling or diving at Kisite Marine Park, a sunset dhow cruise, or water sports like kite surfing, jet skiing, and paddle boarding. Evenings can be spent relaxing at the resort and enjoying traditional music and cultural shows.
