1. Our Services
One Big Planet provides custom travel planning and coordination services, including itinerary design and connecting clients with trusted local partners (such as lodges, guides, and operators).
We do not directly operate tours, accommodations, or transportation services.
2. Reservations & Booking
A booking is considered confirmed once:
- You approve your itinerary
- Required payments are received
We act as an intermediary between you and local service providers.
Final confirmation is subject to availability with those providers.
3. Pricing
All pricing is:
- Based on information available at the time of planning
- Subject to change until confirmed with suppliers
Once your itinerary is finalized and approved, pricing will be confirmed.
Prices may change due to:
- Supplier updates
- Availability changes
- Currency fluctuations (if applicable)
- Changes requested by you
We will always communicate any changes before proceeding.
4. Planning Fees
Our planning fees are non-refundable and cover:
- Personalized itinerary design
- Research and recommendations
- Revisions and ongoing adjustments
- Coordination with local partners
5. Payments
- A deposit is required to begin booking services
- Final payment timelines will be provided with your itinerary
- Late payments may result in cancellation of bookings
Accepted payment methods will be communicated at time of booking.
6. Changes & Cancellations
By You:
Changes or cancellations must be made in writing.
- Cancellation fee: 20% of the total trip cost (minimum $250)
- Additional supplier fees may apply depending on timing and provider policies
After final payment, changes may be treated as cancellations.
By Suppliers:
If a supplier cancels or modifies a service, we will:
- Offer alternatives where possible
- Assist in finding a suitable replacement
We are not responsible for supplier decisions but will support you throughout the process.
7. Travel Requirements
You are responsible for:
- Valid passports and visas
- Vaccinations and health requirements
- Travel insurance (strongly recommended)
We are not liable for denied boarding, entry, or travel disruptions due to missing documentation.
8. Responsibility & Liability
One Big Planet acts as a travel planner and intermediary.
We are not responsible for the acts, errors, or omissions of third-party providers, including but not limited to:
- Lodges
- Airlines
- Transport providers
- Guides or tour operators
While we carefully select trusted partners, your travel experience is ultimately delivered by independent providers.
We are not liable for:
- Injury, illness, or loss during travel
- Delays, cancellations, or disruptions beyond our control
- Force majeure events (including weather, political events, natural disasters, etc.)
Our liability, if any, is limited to the amount paid for our planning services.
9. Assumption of Risk
Travel, especially to remote or international destinations, involves inherent risks.
By booking with us, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
10. Photography
One Big Planet may use photographs or videos taken during travel for marketing purposes.
If you prefer not to be included, please notify us in writing.
11. Claims & Complaints
If you experience an issue during your trip:
- Notify the service provider immediately
- Contact us so we can assist
Claims must be submitted in writing within a reasonable time after travel.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on our website.
