Explore Namibia with One Big Planet

Upon your arrival, your guide will welcome you at the international airport and take you to Windhoek for your 1-night stay. Olive Grove Guesthouse. Luxury Room. Breakfast included.

Departing Windhoek, we travel to our lodge in the Namib Desert. This is the gateway to Sesriem Canyon and Sossusvlei, where some of the highest sand dunes on Earth stand towering over the white desert plains. The afternoon can be spent relaxing at the pool, or taking part in optional activities offered at the lodge. Agama Lodge. Deluxe Chalet. Breakfast, Dinner.

Today, with your guide and vehicle, we visit Sossusvlei, one of Namibia’s most famous attractions. The towering sand dunes (up to 325 meters high) are at their most beautiful in the early morning, so we set out early to see the color transformation of the dunes at its best. On our way back, we will visit Sesriem Canyon, where the Tsauchab River has exposed millions of years of geological history. Agama Lodge. Deluxe Chalet. Breakfast, Dinner.

Today we drive through the Namib Naukluft Park, the third largest game reserve in Africa and one of the largest in the world. We pass through the Kuiseb Canyon and arrive in Walvis Bay during lunch time. Swakopmund Sands Hotel. Luxury Room. Breakfast included.

A day of optional activities in Swakopmund. You may decide to explore the town with its spectacular German colonial-style architecture, the lighthouse, and the Kristal Galleries, where you can see the largest known crystal cluster. There are also opportunities to go quad biking, sand boarding, or enjoy a dolphin cruise. Swakopmund Sands Hotel. Luxury Room. Breakfast included.

After breakfast, we depart for Damaraland, a land of contrasts with majestic flat-topped mountains, deep gorges, and plains stretching as far as the eye can see. This harsh, rocky environment is home to the rare desert elephant, the black rhino, and free-roaming antelope species. Twyfelfontein Country Lodge. Standard Room. Breakfast, Dinner.

Today we visit Twyfelfontein, a heritage site where Bushman communities engraved and painted over 2,500 pictures some 6,000 years ago. Close by, we explore the Burnt Mountain, Organ Pipes, and Traditional Damara People Village. Twyfelfontein Country Lodge. Standard Room. Breakfast, Dinner.

After breakfast, we are heading to Toshari Lodge, just 20 minutes away from Etosha National Park, where we are going to spend two nights. On the way, we visit Petrified Forest — geological phenomena depicting the creation and evolution of some of the oldest landmasses on Earth. Here we also visit the Welwitschia mirabilis plant — the oldest living desert plant on Earth. In the afternoon, you can take part in an optional game drive in the park. Toshari Lodge. Luxury Room. Breakfast, Dinner.

After an early breakfast, you will enter the park in a 4×4 vehicle from the lodge and spend the whole day game viewing in the park. The park is famous for its concentration of wildlife around its waterholes. Toshari Lodge. Luxury Room. Breakfast, Dinner.

After breakfast, we travel to Windhoek via Outjo, Otjiwarongo, and Okahandja. In Okahandja, we will have a lunch stop and visit the Wood Carvers Market. Olive Grove Guesthouse. Luxury Room. Breakfast included.
